I have known David for many years. He is a good friend. When he decided to go into the real estate biz I was ecstatic as my husband and I were looking to buy a place in Chicago and sell our Oak Park home that we'd lived in for over twenty years. David has always had an incredible eye and a keen interest in design and architecture and we knew we'd be in good hands with him as our broker as we looked to buy a condominium near the Lakefront. We had listed our house with an Oak Park real estate broker initially and worked with David to buy a Chicago property. As soon as we had a contract on our Oak Park home, David found a condominium for us that had not yet gone on the market in a building we loved. It was the first place we looked at and it was love at first sight. David had advised me during the showing not to show too much excitement in front of the listing agent. David negotiated an offer on our behalf that was accepted contingent upon our home being sold. Unfortunately the buyer of our home had not acted in good faith and the buyer tried to renegotiate the original price all had agreed upon. Sadly, we had to rescind our offer on the condo we very much wanted to live in. Although we received an offer right away on our home, our real estate broker did very little to market our property other than to have a broker's open house and place ads in the local paper. There was no online presence, no marketing materials at our home for prospective buyers, nor was our real estate broker ever present at any of the showings of our home. We never got feedback from our listing broker unless we called her. She was rarely available to us and we pulled the listing and gave it to David. David immediately came up with a smart strategy for selling our home. He took beautiful pictures, wrote up a listing that was not cliché ridden, gave our home an online presence and scheduled overlapping showings to generage buzz and interest in our home where he was present and available to prospective buyers at each showing. We had a good solid offer within five days and literally thousands of views online. In the meantime, the condo we loved so much was taken off the market and the owner was going to lease the unit. David reached out to the owner on our behalf and began negotiations to secure that property for us. David made this deal happen it would seem through sheer force of will but I know it was his drive, his intelligence and chutzpah that sold our home for a great price. He was smart and strategic as he negotiated on our behalf to have our dream home near the Lakefront. I cannot recommend David Q. Rosen highly enough to anyone buying or selling a home. You are going to get a partner who has your best interests at heart. He takes very seriously his position as a broker. He is a lot of fun to work with as well. He was in constant communication with us every step of the way. Kitty Monaghan and Larry Kucharik
